I want to beef up the look of my 2022 Karoq style with R18 Rims. It needs extra height. What is the maximum size Tyre I can use from the current 215/50 R18?

You CANNOT, I'm afraid. Assuming the 50 aspect is original equipment the gearing will be set up to keep the speedo reporting with in legal constraints. which are :- Speedo not allowed to read LESS that actual road speed but can read UP TO 10% above road speed.
I have calculated an imaginary option of using 60 aspect and you can see thet it makes your speedo UNDER read by 3.61 MPH..... ILLEGAL

Some people (myself included) wanted a more comfortable ride on our Karoq Sportline and the answer was to go from the 19inch wheels 40 aspect tyres to 16 inch wheels with 60 aspect. this kept the speedo legal.

Thanks, Colin, for your expert opinion on this post. Is it impossible for Skoda to recalibrate the speedo based on the size of the tyre? This car, based on the VW T-Roc, has a larger tyre. I should have never bought this car in Australia, and after only 18 months, it has depreciated by 40% from the purchase price. So, I'm stuck with it and want to make it look better.

Hello Steve, or should I say G'day!
Regarding recalibration by a dealer. I haven't a clue I'm afraid. I am so old that speedos were driven by a cable off the gearbox tail inn my youth and all you had to do was get a different gear to pop in and then you could do exactly what you want to do. But in these days of electronic 'everything', It might be possible to modify the software, I suggest you ask your dealer and if they say "NO" then try and find an auto electrician, who might be more willing to attempt it.
Good luck.
