Hi
I am new to the forum having literally just purchased a brand new Karoq SE L TSI DSG "Edition". I take delivery in the next week or so. Extremely pleased with what I've seen so far on test drive etc. The only thing I'm concerned about is the lack of spare wheel. My current car has been a Yeti which I've loved and it had a space saver in the boot. Is there a generic space saver "kit" I can purchase that will fit the Karoq without breaking the bank!!?
Thanks
Martin

Try the agent. A kit may not be too expensive. Be careful about a generic kit because a kit sutable for a Kamiq is not suitable for a Karoq. Also the jack may only be suitable for a smaller, lighter car.TIZMGC wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 2:13 pm Hi

I too have recently purchased a Skoda Karoq albeit four years old. The vehicle came with no spare, just a bottle of glue and a pump. Not liking this arrangement I ordered a spare wheel kit and spare wheel at a cost of £330.00. The problem I have is the wheel is 18" diameter. The wheels on my car are 17". It would seem that a skinny 17"spare is simply not available. Could it be that my car is not intended to have a spare, just the glue and pump. My car is a 2020 Karoq SE Technology Tsi Dsg Estate 1.5 Semi auto petrol. Any comments please?

The wheels on Karoq vary from 17" to 19". As the wheel size increases the aspect ratio decreases to keep the rolling radius the same. It doesn' really matter what the diameter of the spare wheel is as long as the tyre has a close enough rolling radius. The tyre is only supposed to be used for short emergency journeys at a maximum speed of 50mph.ABChase wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 5:18 pm I too have recently purchased a Skoda Karoq albeit four years old. Good evening,
I have a 19inch unused Spacesaver from my Sportline Karoq. Yours for a £50 note. Where are you? I can send by carrier, but have had problems before, 'posting' wheels. So would prefer not to.I am willing to travel 50 miles from Poole if that helps, FOC.
If you buy from Skoda they are very expensive. Ebay ranges from about £80-God knows what.
Unfortunately I do not have a jack, but a scissor or hydraulic jack and wheel brace can be bought very cheaply from Halfords, Machine mart etc.
if you are interested, drop me a P.M.
cheers,
Colin
