The karoq is a year old in 5 days it's done 4500 miles .
I keep getting emails and texts saying its due a service . Contacted my dealer to be told no its first service is due at 20000 miles . But the cars service lights on I took it in to dealer they reset computer.
And they said you won't get any more emails or texts .
However I keep getting texts saying service due and it has my dealers phone number saying call to book it in .
They say talk to skoda customer services they wash there hands customer after sales has not called me back also left a message for the dealer principle to call me but He has not called back this is skoda northampton Neil DAy there customer service has never been good wouldn't have another unless the improve there customer services and respond to customers
Yes it's a mobility car and skoda set the service at 20000 miles shame they don't tell the cars computer and stop sending out service reminders when there not due.
Anyone else have customer service issues.
Or do you get the feeling they have sold you the car . Bye bye
Service
I had similar experience from Skoda Huddersfield. I bought the car in on the 1Feb 2024. It had Mot and Service done on 10th Jan 2024.
At the beginning of August I started getting texts and emails from them saying it was due for a service in October and to book it in. After ignoring 3 texts and 2 emails, I replied to them saying it wasn't due until January and I would book it in for a service and Mot closer to the time. I got the response that their system said I was due for a service as it is supposed to be done every 12months or 10,000miles. Then they asked how many miles I had done. I told them the mileage and pointed out it had only been serviced about 7months previously and I had only done about 3,500miles. I never got a response.
Then the beginning of September, the emails and texts started again. I sent them a snotty email repeating the same thing and pointing out it was only 8 months since the last service and less than 4,000 since then and that we had already had this discussion only a month previous. I got a generic none personal email saying. "Your details have been updated".
I haven't heard anything since thankfully.

Skoda's service schedule is 10,000 miles or ONE YEAR! whichever comes first.

Skoda's cr@p customer service was one reason I ditched Skoda after 13 years and 8 cars.
Skoda should be able to tell if it has been serviced as it will be recorded on the national data base.
Ring Customer service again and demand o speak to a MANAGER.
It may be that whoever did the service, forgot tore-set the service reminder on the car. What does it say.
Steve,
Did you have it serviced by a Skoda dealer? If not it will NOT be registered on the data bas.
If this is th case hang onto your work sheet and reciepit to back up your warranty.
If it was a Skoda dealer the same recommendation re customer service manager, as above, applies.

Don't get me started on receipt or work sheets. I didn't get any paperwork from them to start off with.
They wouldn't give me anything stating data protection when I asked for reciepts of work done on the car. But they were quite happy to take all the receipts of work done on my old car when I traded it in.
They said everything was on the online app, right after I had told them I didn't have a smartphone. I had to demand a couple of times for a copy of the services done, because they didn't want to give me anything. Even then, all I got was a basic printout of the service date, mileage and "inspection done" written on it (including the service done just before buying). No mention of repairs or parts changed even though all the tyres had been changed as they were dated within the last 6 months of me buying.
I had to go back the following day as I realised they never gave me any reciepts or any paperwork regarding the sale of the car (It has been over 8 years since I last bought a car, so I wasn't paying enough attention on the day of collection) . I had to push them to get anything from them that time too.
It came with a 12month warranty, so I will dig deep in my pocket for the next Service and Mot before the warranty runs out. After that I'll be going back to the local independant garage for future services. I have bought a skoda service manual from ebay and I will keep receipts and garage stamps in the service book rather than online nonsense.
Hopefully you can find a decent Skoda dealer nearer you.
In my Skoda days I chose to travel 40 mile round trip to buy and service my 8 Skodas rather than go to the local idiots.
If I was in your position I would report your 'duff' dealers to Skoda, making an official complaint, but only if you can find a better dealer to do your next service!
If you are anywhere near the New Forest in Hants I can point you the direction of a first class dealer.

They are in Christchurch as well now. I haven't used them as, when I had an SOS system problem, neithet the 'local idiots' or the Christchurch branch could fit me in and I had to take it to Yeovil. They did an excellent job.kodiaq wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 12:31 pm Hopefully you can find a decent Skoda dealer nearer you.

Routemaster & I both knew who the 'local idiots' are
Now I am driving an eNiro I must admit that their Kia branch are absolutely fantastic. The most helpful and efficient Dealer of any make that I have come across . Matched only by Meadens Brockenhurst.

As supplied by the factory Skodas come with 'variable servicing'. That is, the inbuilt computer monitors the engine use and will tell you when it wants a service - which can be up to 18 months or 15,000+ miles after its last service. However if you would prefer annual / 10,000 mile servicing your dealer can reset it for this frequency. Personally I found variable servicing too confusing as some items like brake fluid change etc don't then synchronise with the servicing regime, so had mine set to annual servicing when it was PDI'd.

Correct BUT WHICHEVER OCCURS FIRST,
So you were correct to have it done at one year. Had you not done so Skoda could have invalidated your warranty.
