I'm paying £20/month for a service plan. I checked with them and I have one more left and then it's MOT time at 3 years old.
I got a call a week or so back saying my Karoq SEL was due for a brake fluid change. I couldn't believe my ears! The car has only done 8000 miles since new and they want to change the brake fluid after 30 months - not even 3 years old and not even had it's first MOT.
My previous car, a Yeti L&K, went 7 years before I was approached for a fluid change. Even then it didn't need changing. I had a sample boil tested and proved it was still good as new, so changing the fluid would have been for change sake and it isn't cheap!
At any rate, why is this not included in the service schedule given the questionable change interval?
Is this indeed correct? Does the brake fluid need changing every 30 months?
It doesn't sound right to me.
