Hi all

Our new (to us) 2021 Karoq is making a knocking noise from the front at low speeds. We had a similar issue with our previous car (Audi A3) where the bump stops needed lubricating. Does the Karoq suffer from a similar problem or could it be something else?

Many thanks.

Garage confirmed front bump stops need replacing. Apparently an issue known with VAG cars.

Quick update. New front bump stops / strut mounts did not fix the issue. Skoda ended up replacing the front shocks, which has solved the issue at higher speeds and when going in a straight line at any speed. I have come across a couple of other Karoq owners who say the front bump stops / strut mounts need lubricating every year or so to get rid of the noise completely. Is there an easy way of getting to the front bump stops myself to lubricate them or is this a job for a mechanic?
