Sorry this is the first post and a cry for help but hello.

As it says in the title really... the rear view mirror has come unglued from the windscreen. I've asked a VW specialist and Autoglass if they can fix this and both said no. Anyone had this issue before and/or is it a job for the main dealer? Obviously there are sensors in this unit so I would like it to be fixed to a quality standard.

Any help appreciated as I am a bit stuck.

From reading the link I posted, I suspect it is having the right stuff for removing the old glue from the screen that is the real issue, which Autoglass and the like would not have to do. Maybe the only option would be to replace the screen? Is the car under warranty?
