Managed to finally work out how to initiate the speed limiter, but a question remains. After I set the required speed I'm still puzzled as to what it's supposed to do. I set the speed as,say 33mph and the selected speed appears on the dash. However, as I start driving the car seems happy to let me exceed this speed as soon as I start to accelerate. Am I expecting to much from this function? I would have thought that to be any use I would be unable to exceed the selected speed. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

I haven't used the limiter function, but I guess you have selected the speed setting but not started the limiter. I would imaging you need to pull the cruise control lever to set and to push away to turn it off.
Which speed limiter are you using?
My Karoq has a lower stalk on the left of the steering wheel, which controls the adaptive cruise control or speed limiter. It defaults to cruise control, so when I start the engine I use the 'Assist' button on the steering wheel to select speed limiter instead. The stalk needs to be pulled forward to be activated.
When I am at my chosen speed I then press the lower stalk sideways to set the chosen speed. The car will not then accelerate passed that speed (although if cruising down a hill it may exceed it). To vary the chosen speed as you pass speed limit signs, I then flick the stalk up or down to vary the speed limiter in increments of 5 mph.
It works perfectly for me and removes the need to keep glancing at the speedo to check your speed.
