Electric tailgate stopped working

Thanks to all who suggested a solution this problem.
Skoda obviously have not learnt from their previous mistakes. Yetis had a similar, very common, problem.
No electric tailgates of course but the loom on the driver's door, containing the supply for the electric widows and door locking solenoid was alway a weak point and a constant problem requiring similar DIY repairs to the broken wire(s).
