We're experiencing a number of electronic niggles with our 2019 Karoq. These include intermittent operation of the rear wiper, issues with the boot lid opening and closing (have to do this manually for the most part but sometimes it spring into life) and the driver door sometimes not unlocking via the key fob.

Before heading down the path of replacing parts, I wanted to see if there is any point in resetting the main computer that controls these functions (is it the ECU?), how to do that and anything else we need to know to ensure we can drive the car immediately afterwards :)

All help welcomed, including redirecting me to an existing post that I might have missed on my search.

You could try this.
Your choice!
Skoda Karoq Infotainment Reboot
Based on the provided information, here are the steps to reboot the infotainment system on your Skoda Karoq:

Force reboot: Press and hold the power button until you see the Skoda logo. This will force a reboot of the infotainment system.
Hold power button for 10-20 seconds: As mentioned in one of the snippets, holding the power button for 10-20 seconds can also reset the infotainment system.
Reset to factory settings: If the above methods don’t work, you can try resetting the infotainment system to its factory settings. To do this:
Go to the “Car” menu
Select “Settings”
Choose “Factory settings”
Check and update user account: If your infotainment system is stuck on a previous user’s settings (e.g., “Goodbye Francis”), try deleting the old user account and setting up a new one as described in one of the snippets.
Additional Tips
If you’re experiencing issues with DAB radio reception, it might be related to your location or the car’s infotainment system. You may want to consult with a Skoda dealership or a qualified technician for assistance.
Regularly updating your infotainment system’s software and firmware can help prevent issues and ensure optimal performance.
Remember to always refer to your Skoda Karoq’s owner’s manual for specific instructions on rebooting and resetting the infotainment system, as the process might vary depending on your car’s trim and software version.

Hi
Thanks for the information. I'm looking to reset the main computer that controls things like door locks, window wipers etc. Is this a different computer to the infotainment system?

All this 'Elektrikkery' is a 'black art' as far as I am concerned, but if it is possible your would probably need an OBD connection.
Personally, I would not risk messing about with it. Go to the dealer.
Just out of interest..... My last Yeti has a problem with the rear wiper intermittently it would not park but just stopped where it felt like it. Dealer could find no problem
My Kodiaq electric boot was rubbish. Wouldn't open, would open but only as far as it wanted to and similar on closing. Dealer tried to sort it out, In the end I P/X'd it for a non electric boot Karoq.
That was one of a few problems I had with the Kodiaq. That taught me not to be an early adopter of a new model. Mine was the 6th Kodiaq to be registered in the U.K.

Sometimes disconnecting the battery for five minutes and reconnecting it can sort out some electrical gremlins and forces the systems to reboot.

Beware you might lose some personal settings if you do try this.
