1.5 DSG Sportline order
Folks - Just ordered a factory build 1.5 DSG Sportline -Expected delivery September. Currently have a SEL 1.5 DSG and was a little concerned about ride comfort on Sportline but have test driven one. Sportline is a little firmer but not unbearable and you get so much more on Sportline for little extra cost so took the plunge! Went for Velvet Red as love red cars! Does anyone know if parking package plus is standard or not - the brochure shows it as standard (black dot) but also later contradicts itself by saying it is available as an option pack - Although 19" saggitarius look the bees knees (and I have driven one with those wheels) does anyone know whether in theory I can either get the e.g sel 18" wheels fitted as park of the build process or if not whether dealer may swap them to 18" when it arrives with them? I know I can ask dealer this but just wanted to get peoples thoughts as to whether it could happen!

Hi, we bought a 2020 car last April, running 19in Vega rims fitted with oem Bridgestones. Lived with them for about 6 weeks and they were a bloody nightmare, we felt every bump or hole in the road. Motoring was no longer enjoyable, Significant Other spent her entire time pointing out hazards, I then drove around them or dreaded the consequences. Users on here suggested swapping out for smaller rims but I liked the Vegas so instead I fitted CrossClimates and what a transformation, chalk and cheese. Driving again became a pleasant experience.
Reluctantly we sold the car a fortnight ago, the seat finally got the better of my back, I was left with backache whenever I’d been behind the wheel over an hour.
Perhaps not what you’d want to hear but thought I’d let you know my experiences of the ride. Were it not for the uncomfortable seat we’d have not sold up.

Looks like I’m stuck with a 19 inch Sagittarius wheels. Rightly or wrongly, I’ve decided to add the performance pack which includes DCC - hopefully that will at least make some difference. Previously had a Golf GTi on 18 inch wheels and although that wasn’t particularly hard ride, I did regret not speccing DCC at the time, so this time have taken the plunge. I don’t think there’s many Karoq Sportlines with DCC fitted so at least I should be able to give some feedback on that from September ish when the vehicle arrives.

I'm Sorry to have to agree with BTandsid.
I also could not stand the big wheels with 'rubber band' tyres. Not only were the excruciatingly uncomfortable the risk of curbing is very high.
My back is not in good condition but I found all my Skoda seats ideal for my back.
I went the 16 inch route, with 55 aspect all seasons tyres and it transformed the ride.
I bought a set of Alutec German alloys from a friend for £300.
if you feel you cannot stand the 'rubber bands' You can have my 4 Alutec with part worn tyres for £100 . I need the space and would be glad to let them go for that bargain price.
if you are interested , let me know and I will send you some pics.
Cheers,
Colin.
