Cannot edit my post

I want to edit an earlier post of mine that I realise I made a mistake in, but don't seem able to edit it, only reply to it. I'm logged into the forum, BarryC, but cannot see any way to edit. Help would be gratefully appreciated. Does not show an edit icon like on other posts.

Top right of the message screen a penci at an angle, next to the red cross.
If you have posted since the one you wish to alter, it may have disabled the edit capability.

Thanks, yes I'm with the pencil icon OK. I'd not realised about edit being disabled if already posted later.
