Hi all,
I’ve recently started having issues with the central locking in my 2018 Skoda Karoq. The drivers door sometimes won’t lock/ unlock when using the key fob or pressing the sensor on the handle. Every other door locks/ unlocks without any problems, this issue is only for the drivers door.
The only way I can lock/ unlock the drivers door is by inserting the key manually. If I try locking the car using the key fob, the drivers door stays unlocked but the rest will be locked. If I then open the drivers door, the alarm goes off. It’s mainly an issue because I can’t lock the drivers door from the inside so it’s become a safety concern.
I’ve checked the wiring loom and all seems to be ok, any ideas on what could be causing this issue? I was thinking it could be something to do with the locking mechanism failing but that doesn’t make sense because it will still lock if I insert the key manually so maybe it’s an electrical thing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
